MEXICAN QUARRIES

Our Mexican quarries are located in San Luis de la Paz (Guanajuato) at about 2.500m height above sea level. The stratified porphyry, which main colours are ruby red and purple red (Colour D), covers an area of dozens of hectares.

Natural cleft surface slabs are slightly rough; sometimes they also have small holes – which don’t modify their quality and resistance. Depending on the levels of the quarry, it is possible to extract slabs with a thickness that varies from cm 2 to cm 15: this allows the production of products suitable for both pedestrian and heavy traffic areas, and cladding.
